Are you looking for bent parts that you need for a repair or for implementing a project? Then you have come to the right place, because we can produce stainless steel bent profiles to your specifications.

What do you need to look out for with bent parts? What are they made for? We want to answer these questions so that you can make an informed decision for an aluminium bent profile or a stainless steel profile.

If you are looking for a reliable partner, you will also learn why ESC Burg can take on that role. We describe the route to ordering made-to-measure bent parts.

What are bent profiles used for?

There are various fields of application for bent sheet metal. It appears in many places in everyday life without our noticing - and almost always performs an important function. Here are a few examples:

  • Edge protection: in areas where many people move about with luggage or goods, edges frequently get knocked. An L-shaped bent profile can protect the walls and thus the substance of a building.
  • Roof flashings: the edge of a flat roof is in most cases also finished with a bent profile.
  • Drip flashings: these are installed on many buildings to prevent moisture from penetrating the masonry.

All these tasks that bent parts can perform are very important for the preservation of buildings. The profiles do not take centre stage and only in rare cases become an architectural accent.

What must be considered with a bent profile?

For the profiles to fulfil their task, it is important to produce them absolutely exactly. Even a small gap can allow water and other liquids to penetrate. If edge protection does not sit correctly, it cannot absorb and distribute the force of an impact - in the worst case, major damage results here too.

Alongside the dimensions, a uniform bend is also necessary for a bent profile to be usable. Not only for visual reasons: an uneven edge can in the worst case lead to damage and presents you with a challenge during installation.

Which types of bent profiles are there?

Every sheet that has a bend is a bent part. The simplest form is an L-profile, which is also the most common form of aluminium bent profiles. To obtain an L-profile, the sheet only has to be bent once. An angle sheet and an edge protector, for example, are L-profiles.

But there are numerous other profiles we can produce for you. The name of the profile always corresponds to the shape the profile has in side view. In addition to angle profiles, U-profiles for gutters and Z-profiles are also in high demand. In principle, however, with our professional bending lines we can also produce profiles to your specifications - and a bend does not have to be at a right angle.

Can you bend sheets yourself?

If the sheet is not too thick, you can in theory carry out a bend yourself. But if you want to use an 8 mm stainless steel sheet, you will not achieve the desired result without a bending bench.

There are several reasons against bending a sheet into the desired shape yourself. Firstly, it is very difficult to obtain an absolutely uniform edge without machine support - and a sloppy result can make a sheet unusable.

You should also not underestimate the risk of injuring yourself on the sharp sheet edges. And when you consider that as a private individual you have difficulty accessing inexpensive sheets, ordering from the experts for stainless steel bent profiles becomes all the more attractive.

Why ESC Burg is the best partner for your bent profile

We have specialised in producing sheets and bent parts to customer order. We have been working with stainless steel sheet for many years and offer various services. Our offer is aimed not only at corporate customers but also at private customers. The size of your order does not matter to us.

So that we can offer you attractive prices, we purchase sheets in various alloys in large quantities. In the first step, we cut them to your desired dimensions - with millimetre precision, of course. If you order a bent profile, the sheet is then formed into the profile you need in our forming department.

We can then also treat the surface for you. The services of our surface treatment department are available for this: we can grind, foil-protect and pickle.

Receive an individual quotation

We do not work with flat rates. That is why we cannot quote a price here either - we calculate it individually for each order. This is only possible because we speak with each of our customers. If you are interested in our bent profiles, please get in touch with our sales team.

We advise you quickly and without obligation, at no cost to you, of course. So that we can sell you the optimum product, we need to know what you intend to use the sheet for. There are in some cases considerable differences between the various alloys, and we want to make sure you enjoy our product for a long time.

After the short consultation, you will also learn the price and the shipping costs immediately. Here too, we do not work with flat rates, so that we can guarantee safe transport to you.

We deliver quickly and reliably

We need only 2 days from receipt of your order to dispatch - provided you have no special request and we do not first have to order the sheet you want to use. You can rely on us adhering exactly to the dimensions you specify. This ensures a perfect fit, and you can install the bent profile straight away.

Alongside the experience of our long-standing employees, our high-quality machines naturally also contribute to this promise. We use various methods for cutting stainless steel, including lasers, precision guillotine shears and a plasma line. Through constant investment, we are always at the current state of the art and can also offer complex shapes as sheet or as profile sheet.

We would be delighted to work for you too and look forward to your enquiry. See our expertise for yourself and have a non-binding quotation prepared.
